Game design & digital prototype
Core loop | væk
The challenge for this prototype was to prototype the core loop(s) of a game.
In our group, we started out by exploring the groups’ concept: Alternative controller.

We wanted to make a game using an alternative control scheme to mediate a narrative element between a parent and child.

The parent would control the movement of the avatar in a simple 2D sidescroller while the child controlled an emotional feedback to the avatar though a plush toy.

playground design & 3D rendering
Space Playground
The challenge for this prototype was to design a playground. In our group, we started out by trying to define what we fought a good playground should contain and focused on how this could be expressed in our playground.
We wanted to make a playground that facilitated the different types of play experience proposed by Roger Caillois Fundamental Categories.

Game design & analogue prototype
A Viking game | Get the Dragon Egg
Get The Dragon Egg is a fast-paced free-for-all multiplayer tabletop mind game, where you must steal an egg from the dragon’s nest, and return it to one of the designated villages.

But beware! There are not enough eggs for all of you. If you do not get an egg, you have but only one choice; catch up to someone else and steal their egg, or you will lose the game.
Stealing an egg will not be an easy task. Only by outsmarting your opponent and staying one step ahead, can you succeed in your endeavour.
Get The Dragon Egg is a perfect way to challenge your friends or family - now you are finally able to prove who is the weakest link - in an easy to learn hard to master game that can be played in under a minute making it ideal for quick match off!

Digital prototype
Building a story world | Nebraska
The challenge for this prototype was to re-design a game. Changing ideally only one aspect of the game. In our group, we started out by finding a simple game that would dramatically change by altering one aspect. After going over a dozen games we chose to go with an iconic digital game that really needed an overhaul: Pong!

Sport design & analogue prototype
Sport | QuickFris
The creation and iterations of Quickfris
Our aim with this assignment was to make a fun, fair and fast paced sport that could easily be understood and observed by spectators. With our definition of a Sport and our aim in mind we brainstormed ideas and the initial concept for Quickfris was made.

Space Playground prototype

playground design & 3D rendering
School assignment:
ITU Game Design Prototype
The playground has been designed to enforce certain loops. The central one is the easy access to the ilinx aspects of the play-structures. After using an ilinx toy (slides etc.) the child is deposited toward the center of the playground with easy view of the other possible ilinx toys, which they can then move toward, and easily gain access to...

In this fast-paced frisbee game, two teams of ten people play against each other on a gridded field of square zones. One player from each team is posititioned in each zone, and one goalkeeper from each team defends the goals. The goal is scoring on the opposing team's goal with the frisbee, to ultimately win by having the most points, when the time runs out...
